Nitpick - Those tiny little nits that get under your skin

Immaturity

Why is it that so called "mature adults" feel the need to act so childish? I expect elementary age children to act needy, whiney, and bratty. But adults are supposed to be better than that. I expect junior high age kids to act over-emotional, easily upset, feeling a need to be impressive in other people's eyes but adults are supposed to be past that stage. And it is a well known fact that some immature high schoolers can be back stabbing, fixated on themselves, willing to tear other people down rather than build eachother up... Why is it that some adults still have yet to grow up? It drives me crazy when they feel like they need to nit pick, pick fights, whine, talk bad about other people, or try to manipulate people by guilt tripping them or making other people feel sorry for them. There is something to be said for self-sufficiency, respect, and enough maturity to know when to let things go. Maybe some people just don't want to grow up... it would mean they would have to release the childish things that they want to hold onto.

Of course they do it to get attention. It's too much WORK to gain attention through personal achievement, so they have to whine, cry, and make people feel sorry for them instead. Most of the time there's a solution right in front of their faces, but it's so much easier to continue wallowing in their self created drama. How pathetic. lol

Such a good rant from such a young girl.

The excessive emotionalism is almost a hobby with some. I don't think they want to do better, if things are indeed all that bad to begin with. Maybe they really don't know what bad is? Or maybe they simply want all that attention. After all, the whole galaxy revolves around them anyway. Their public school self-esteem counselor told them so.

Word to that! I mean people are allowed to be a little immature at times, but some people abuse that priviledge and are like that 24/7
