I would like to note for the record that it hasn't been the chatroom administration that has on numerous occasions brought this issue to the public forums. We have, in fact, been very cautious to protect your friend's privacy in all of this.

But nevertheless, I would be willing to discuss this matter more in depth privately with you, should you choose to approach me. I would have all along, to the extent I am able to do so without revealing specifics.

Good grief. It's a chatroom ban, not a consignment to an eternity in hell. There are literally thousands of other chatrooms out there. People need some perspective!

THE END? God in heaven, I hope so!

Sometimes there's a fine line between being merciful and forgiving, and actually encouraging the self-destructive behavior by acting as an enabler.

Frankly, I don't really understand why a truly repentant person would insist on the "right" to return to the exact same environment in which they had repeatedly been tempted to fall in the past. Is it a good idea for an alcoholic to hang out at their favorite old bar with their drinking buddies in order to "prove" that they're serious about getting sober?

Amen, Momzilla!

Some folks don't realize that the "second chance" they are asking for is actually the 3rd, 4th, 18th ....

How many second chances are they supposed to get?
